CLASSES/WORKSHOPS INFORMATION:
Many of our snowbirds have either left the area or will be leaving soon. We wish them safe journey and a great summer. We will look forward to their return in the fall. For those dancers that live here all summer, stay cool, dance often, and have fun.
Most classes and workshops have stopped for the remainder of this season, with the exception of Rounds Workshops and Dances. Please review the calendar often, as during this time of year, a date might be cancelled.
Next Season Classes / Workshops Information:
SQUARE DANCING
- Beginners’ Square Dance Class will start December 5, 2011, 6:30 – 8:00 pm. Caller/Teacher: Roland Blanchette.
- Plus Square Dance Class for new Plus dancers and those who want to brush up, will start December 5, 2011, 8:00 – 9:30 pm. Caller/Teacher: Roland Blanchette.
- NEW: A 4-week workshop in DBD All Position Plus will begin January 24, 2012, with Sam Dunn, 7:30 – 9:30 pm. This workshop is for dancers that want to improve their Plus Level skills. Advanced and challenge level dancers are encouraged to try this workshop.
- Intro to A-1 Square Dance Class will begin January 9, 2012, 12:00 noon – 2:00 pm. Caller/Teacher: Marty Van Wart
- Intro to A-2 Square Dance will begin Monday, January 9, 2012, 2:00 – 4:00 pm. Caller/Teacher: Mart Van Wart
- A-2 Review/Workshop starting November 15, 2011, 10:00 am – 12:00 noon. Caller/Teacher: Keith Stevens. This workshop is for dancers who would like to brush up on their skills.
- C-1 Class/Workshop starting November 15, 2011, 1:00 – 3:00 pm. This workshop is for those dancers who have finished their C-1 lessons and need floor time so they will be ready to dance comfortably at the C-1 level. Caller/Teacher: Keith Stevens.
- Intro to C-1 (Part 1) Classes starting January 12, 2012, 9:30 – 11:30 am. Caller/Teacher: Marty Van Wart
- C-1 Dance starting October 5, 2011, 1:00 – 3:00 pm. Caller/Teacher: Art Springer
- C-2 Dance/Workshop starting November 9, 2011, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Caller/Teacher: Art Springer
- C-2 Dance/Workshop starting November 11, 2011, 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Caller/Teacher: Keith Stevens
- C-3A Teach/Workshop starting November 11, 2011, 12:45 – 2:45 pm. Caller/Teacher: Keith Stevens
ROUND DANCING
- Beginners’ Round Dance Class starting November 6:30 – 8:00 pm. Cuers/Teachers: Charlie & Leona Lovelace.
- NEW: Basic Snowbirds Round Dance class starting, January 24, 2012, 3:30 – 5:30 p.m. This class is for new round dancers that were not able to start in November. Cuers/Teachers: Linda & Kip Moulton
- Phase 2 Rounds workshop will resume on October 6, 2011, 12:00 – 2:00 pm. Cuers/Teachers: Charlie & Leona Lovelace.
- Phase 3 Rounds workshop, continued throughout the summer, will still run from 7:00 – 9:00 pm.
- Phase 4 Rounds workshop, continued throughout the summer, will still run from 2:30 – 4:30 pm.
- Phase 5 Rounds workshop starting January 7, 2012, 10:30 am – 12:30 pm
